FESTIVAL SEASON….full of parties,gatherings,delicious dishes,sweets and so on……
what you are thinking of……..what to do??? should i have sweets or not??? how to maintain my weight??? etc…etc….
Just follow some tips that make you ready for fit and healthy DIWALI without any guilt.
* Don’t think so much about calories. Its time to celebrate.Just control portion size at a time so that you can avoid glucose load at a particular time.
* Eat slowly with proper chewing from very first bite just to prevent calories rush and enjoy gatherings with your friends.
* Try to make and even gift sweets with natural sweetners like Honey, fruits, raisins , jaggery instead of white sugar so that one can get some nutrients also not only empty calories.By making sweets at home you can avoid artificial food colours and preservatives even.
* If you are to go for a party don’t starve yourself before that, just keep boosting your metabolic rate full day with light snacks like soup, salad, milk, chach, nuts etc. Otherwise you will end up with binging on multiple portions of dishes.
* Choose before you eat.Like eating rasgulla is better than gulab jamun. Eating high calorie food during day is better than night when metabolism is slow.Try to opt for fibrous food first.
*Stay hydrated. Drink 2-3 litres of water per day. Instead of having coffee and tea sensible choices would be lemon water ,fresh juices ,chach or jal jeera.
* Try to be as active as possible throughout the day.you can start your day with a refreshing walk . Yoga will be the best option for keeping you energetic and fresh full day.
HAPPY HEALTHY DIWALI……
